In Memory of a Beloved Coach
Lineman Coach & Hero
Coach Aaron Feis was a Douglas Alumni from the class of 1999 and spent his entire career at Marjory Stoneman Douglas. As a player Coach Feis played center for the Eagles from 1995-1998. After graduating in 1999 he decided to return to Douglas in 2002 and became the Head Coach for JV for many years then later transitioned into a lineman coach as well as maintaining daily operations for the football program. On February 14, 2018 Coach Feis bravely sacrificed himself to save the lives of students during a school shooting at MSD. As a football coach to our players and a mentor to all the MSD students he fostered a love for all Eagles. His motto “Once and Eagle, Always an Eagle,” is one that is daily lived out by Alumni and current Eagles alike. Coach Feis is and always will be greatly missed but the lessons he taught and the sacrifice he made will live on through his team and MSD students forever.
