Coach Short is a native of Morrow, Ohio, and a graduate of Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, where he was a three year starter for the Mountain Lions.  He will be entering his first season at Douglas High School.  He coached the offensive line at Archbishop McCarthy in 2013. Prior to that he was at Bayside High School in Palm Bay, he served as the offensive line coach as well as the offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2012, and was the defensive line coach at Southwest Randolph High School in Asheboro, North Carolina, from 2003 to 2005.
